Become A Specialty Diver
Specialty activities introduce certified divers to a whole
new world of diving opportunities. Learning is easy. We offer a wide
variety of specific specialty courses to customize your training to
specific interests and needs. Once you are certified in two separate
Specialty Courses such as Boat Diving and Deep Diving, you are
eligible to become a Specialty Diver. The only other requirement is to
log 12 dives. You will have already logged 5 dives in open water
training and another 4 during specialty training; this means you will
complete 3 more experience dives on your own. This should be an easy
task as our customers can take advantage of shop dives that are
planned every weekend.
Become An Advanced Open Water
Diver
The goal of many new divers is to complete an Advanced
course. To become an Advanced Open Water Diver you must
complete four Specialty Courses. You select the four courses you want,
taking them at your own leisure. This may take one week or one year --
it's up to you. Our Advanced course includes 4 specialties that
we will tailor to your specific interests. Once you have completed the
training you must complete the experience requirement which is done by
logging a total of 24 dives. This training requirement sets our
program apart plus it's the key to creating an advanced diver.
Become A Master Diver
Earn
your masters degree in diving -- Master Scuba Diver. With this certification
in hand, you'll have reached the highest recreational diver
accomplishment. The
Master Scuba Diver rating denotes superior achievement and
proficiency in dive skills, experience and underwater
activities.
The Master Diver rating is the most prestigious diver
rating. When you carry this card you carry the pride and experience
that accompanies it. Becoming a Master Diver is no easy task as it
takes diving experience. Once you earn your Advanced Open Water Diver
rating you have one more training requirement -- the Diver Stress and
Rescue Course. This is the Specialty Course that helps divers learn to
help themselves and other when diving. It creates a new level of
confidence and ability in the diver that cannot be earned through any
other course.
To complete this experience requirement, the dive
must log a total of 50 dives. It takes the average diver 50 or more
dives to achieve the kind of ability needed to feel truly comfortable
in the water.
Technical Training
Technical diving utilizes skills, techniques, equipment and
knowledge beyond the requirements of recreational diving. Technical
diving includes, but is not limited to, dives deeper than 130 feet,
dives into overhead environments beyond a visible exit point, dives
using mixed gas (in addition to EANx mixtures) and dives requiring
staged decompression.
Our technical programs include:
Tech Diver
Trimix
Advanced Nitrox Cavern
Deco Procedures Technical Wreck
